The second annual Cross Canada Skeptical Smackdown is coming soon. If you missed it last year, the Smackdown is a British Style Pub quiz where teams each take the same quiz in different cities and compete for raw bragging rights. Last year teams in Edmonton battled teams in Vancouver. This year the event is expanding to more cities, and you can help!
You can organize an event in your area. It can be held in a pub, a living room, wherever! All that is really necessary is someone to host and be quiz-master. (There is also some photocopying required as well as some kind of audio visual support – a laptop will suffice, though bigger screens and speakers are recommended for larger events.) Hosts are also welcome to contribute to the quiz itself.
Local events can occur anytime on the “weekend” of March 10-14th inclusive, with the final results being posted later that week.
